Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man, and others

1951 – Other movies that are pretty interchangeable:  Abbott and Costello meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; A & C Meet Frankenstein; A & C Meet the Killer Boris KarloffBoth, A & C Go to Mars.   Artie and Gilbert Gottfried do killer imitations of a scared Costello trying to tell Abbott to look behind him, that there’s some sort of monster.  On GEEKTIME!, Ralph says that the “Meet Frankenstein” is the best, and he always watches it around Halloween.

Howard said his is Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Jerry said he loved Abbott and Costello, and his Seinfeld show was based on these movies. He wanted his characters to exist around crazy and mean people, and then to never have a lesson or hug at the end of an episode.

Harry Shearer was on the show and said as a kid he was in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. He’s about 4 yrs old and is in one of the first scenes. He also got the role as Eddie on Leave it to Beaver, but his parents wouldn’t let him take the role because of school.

Gilbert was again doing a scene from all the Abbott and Costello movies, where Costello sees something scary and tries to tell Abbott after Howard asks Gilbert,  “Did you ever see the movie Abbott and Costello go to Mexico during the Earthquake?”

They were talking about massages with happy endings, and Artie does his Abbott impression saying “I’m a bad boy!”
