Anchorman & Anchorman 2

2004 –  Anchorman:  The Legend of Ron Burgundy on IMDb  Howard and Robin love the movie.  Howard said the best scene is when Ron Burgundy gets a boner when he’s talking to Christina Applegate and he blames it on the crease in his pants.   He says he loves the movie.  It’s so stupid, and stupid movies are the best. Will Ferrell based this character on an anchorman in Detroit that Howard actually remembers when he was there.  He said they had made a huge billboard with the guy’s face and first name plastered over it.  Turns out, his first name meant “death” in French, so the Canadians all freaked out and they had to take it down.

2013 – Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues on IMDb  Steve Carrel was studio when this movie came out and Howard said he loved the first movie.  Talking of Anchorman 2  and all the pre-promotion that Will Ferrell’s doing for the movie.  Robin said they’ve been promoting this movie for over a year.  Howard says he loved the first movie.  It was so dumb, and the stupid movies are the best.  Steve said it was good.  They talked about those anchormen of the 70’s and 80’s and how they were all dumb, but were good looking with good hair and could read.  Steve said the sequel takes place when news becomes a 24/7 thing, and they had to fill in all that time with no-story stories.
